Ta-dah, new camera!
My birthday was really relaxing and happy because I didn't wanna plan anything mumbojumbo so we just had dinner with the family at simpang bedok, my ultimate food place. The greatgreat thing that happened was my agliooglio wasnt keyed in and my meal was the only meal that came late so KakYaya asked the waiter why the birthday girl's meal was late. So! They gave us free fruits which was really nice enough but when we were abotu to leave they gave me roti prata ice cream cake(?) with a candle on top! :D It was so good and it was free. So yeah, free birthday cake :)
But the most awesome thing about my birthday was I qattam-ed Quran! I know I'm pretty old but still, qattaming on your birthday is super significant, like it marks...marks something. I did it straight after Subuh and it felt damn satisfying. Like finally :)
Oh & Thank you to everyone who wished me and gave me presents. It made my day really. Now, I've got a lot of moolah to spend and I'm waiting for Nurdiyanah to come back from NZ to shop. I miss that girl ):
Fifteen is old, but I havent felt my fifteen-ness so far. Heh, but it's sad that I'm much further away from being a kid, and so close to being an adult. I don't even like the idea of being an adult. It seems life gets so much more boring & stressful & dull as you get older. And I thought it was the other way around. I remember wanting to grow up fast so I could have a credit card like my mom. I remember saying this particular playground is boring, and let's go to another one. Boring to a kid was not having every cartoon channel show your favourite show or tagging along while your mom analyzes dumb bottles of perfume at Isetan. Well, myohmy the rate of boredom in my life has certainly gone up! I hope life gets better and better. Maybe it takes time? :)
Friday
Aksara was fascinating enough but not thaaaat good. Ibu&Ayah wanted to explore more of Malaysia so we went to tempat tempat perkampungan where it was all roadside stalls and trees and motors. I like! We went really deep, 2 1/2 hrs away from JB. Thank God I had my Dunkin Donuts which we got from Pelangi before to keep me alive. I love my Dunkin Donuts, they are one of the awesomest breads/delicacies/whatever that humankind has created. That and chocolate danishes.I finished all 6 of them flat before we even reached the Malaysian immigration at night. Accomplishment accomplishment. Anyway, we found this gorgeous secluded beach with a really clean&nice resort. The beach was almost totally empty and there was this naked boy swimming away. Ayah says we can have a family holiday there next time. Ibu says we're such good explorers. Okay then we ended up at a construction site with thousands of motors & all the men were staring at us like what the hell is a singaporean car doing in the middle of a construction area? Tsk, so we went on exploring till we got real hungry (or maybe thats just me) and ate at a small seafood restaurant where I had my swell ikan masak kicap :D
Had a really long drive home through the trees and the unlit roads, & this is when I started thinking of Jangan Pandang Belakang, which I did a couple of times, to make sure. :)
Saturday
Bus transporting us to Fort Canning for our gig ;) was late so we played on the swing while I ate my BK breakfast. I swear, Kecuali is the most annoying and menyampah kid on earth. And she's pretty crazy, as Abu proved yesterday night. Eee Kecuali is as painful the dragging your nails across the blackboard. :\ Haha kesian budak tu.Fort Canning is really pretty, and other than Kak Fads's sister's wedding, there was this other ceremony taking place on the grass and they were blasting out jazzy love songs. Very cool. Oooh but Kak Fads's sister's wedding was even cooler ah! Very green and jungly and cosy and comfortable and nice and pretty and perfect. The wedding planner's good, and her daughter is so cute! Curly hair, shes pretty.
Talking about pretty,
Kak Fads's whole family is beauuuuutiful. Thus, the performance was filled with nudgenudges to Abu and glances to Syah and glares to Azira. xD Plus, a hi-5 to YiLing cause she's a junior with good taste. :) But other than that the people seemed to like our perf. Kak Fads's dad's aunt was our old old angklung teacher-in-charge when Kak Farid was still in school! Haha, small world. Only 7 secthrees performed but it was fun all the same :) We collected one stack of postcards (prettier than movie ones) too. Walked all the way to dhoby to have LJs for lunch but dinner was nasi briyani itself and boy, was it sedapgiler. The dessert, mm mm mm.
Later in the car after sending Aqi,
Ibu: What were you all whispering about?
Me: When?
Ibu: Outside the place!(I told you guys my parents were there!) Ehhh gatal ehhh. Talk about the boys yang mat salleh right. (my mum just knows these kinda things)
Me: Nooooooo.
Ibu: The 3 of them who walked out right...Where got handsome? (!)
Me: Eh ehh ibu.
Ayah: Theyre good looking what.
My dad is the bomb.
